Some guys are just naturally gifted with words like that. I guess the only saving argument is that flowers will decay whether or not you cut (kill) them, so hey, why not?
Yep, that's about the size of it. I'd much rather have a live plant than cut, soon to be dead flowers!!

Once a date gave me a potted violet. I thought it was wonderful. But it died because the apartment I was in had crappy lighting. And that person is history now. I no longer try to keep houseplants or fresh flowers in the house. I have housecats and they think houseplants and flowers are great fun to stew all over everywhere. Redecorating, ya know.
Our two are "gardeners"... wintertime we turn a bathroom into a greenhouse and keep the door closed.
@bigpawbullets My dream is to have a greenhouse. I don't see that happening in this lifetime.
