We will start seeing them here in about 10 days, mostly in and around the wetlands. We seem to be getting more every year; global warming maybe?

I don't use chemicals on my lawn..? Saw some fireflies last night!?
Fireflies are a welcome addition to my gardens, along with other insect fauna. I can think of no more magical way to usher in the warm summer months.
Most people don't know, but firefly larvae feed on slugs and snails
I didn't know this.
They've just recently started appearing in mass here in southern Ohio. A great show after dark.
