@Nickbeee I once was hiking the Appalachian Trail here in the good old USA. I was lucky enough to meet the guy who set the record for walking it the fastest. We all had water purifiers so we didn't get giardia. He said when he set the record he just drank out of the streams. He stated that it was bad the first couple of days, stomach pain and diaherra, but after that he was just fine drinking water straight out of the streams
