A Kim memory revisited: Years ago, before I met Kim, I bought a cool bomber jacket in NY. With a thick sweater, it filled me out nicely. I went to a club one night and it was stolen off a chair. A year or two later, I met this petite lady with long frizzy hair, pearly white tone with freckles. A friend said she looked like a painting. I told her I wanted a new bomber jacket, but funds were limited. She was like...l know just where to go! We went to a leather place on Long Island. She helped me pick it out. We laughed, joked, ate pizza and had a blast! 33+ years later, the jacket is still with me. I somehow had forgotten that moment, but today (from a friend's FB post) it all came back. Cue up "This Is Us" music. Life can be short, hug your loved ones.
