If you guys are cool with it - I'm going to join just to keep an eye out for scammers. This seems to be one of the groups they target when they get smarter (ie when they get booted a time or two from the site and learn how to navigate around a bit better).
That way I'll get a notice if someone pops in who is a level one or two who has all those nice scammer hallmarks.
I just don't want you guys getting hit on with that crap when you have plenty else to deal with.
My sister lost her husband to colon cancer 19 years ago - and I know exactly what the experience was like for her - and none of you need this crap.
If you aren't cool with someone who hasn't lived it being here? Just holler and I'll leave. No problem.
We're just averaging around 3 or 4 of these a day lately - and the scammer and troll group is trying to keep up with them.
How are they scamming people?
They usually come in and try to reach level 2 to message people and get them off site to start the scam. Things like 'I need surgery for my child's operation since my spouse just died '. They are really terrible and never who they represent themselves to be.
I welcome your input and help with these awful people trying to scam us. Life is hard enough right now trying to get through the loss of my husband, and I sure don't want to have to deal with fakes and scammers. Thank you for your concern and kindness.
BTW these are some of the common romance scams if you want to freak yourselves out. Over a billion dollar a year business: [bbb.org] .
It's why I so enjoy finding the buggers and helping to send them packing with my morning coffee. They are not nice people. They lack a conscience. And most don't even bother figuring out who we are - so they don't really pass muster (thankfully).
