The Eurovision Song Contest which has been running and broadcast annually since 1954 is one of the longest running television programmes in the world. This year Rotterdam in The Netherlands was due to host the event which would have been the 66th , but due to Covid 19 it had to be cancelled. The country which has won the competition the most number of times is Ireland with seven wins, and Ireland’s Johnny Logan the most successful competitor winning twice with his own songs in 1980 & 1987, and another once by writing the winning song for Linda Martin in 1992. Yes...although in recent years it has deteriorated in quality songs in my opinion.
