It's fairly easy to see when the wool is being pulled over the eyes of the other side. Yet not when your side is leading you down another bad path at the same time. As the media is complicit in the act against you also.

Don't get me wrong, he has a great mind and sees a lot of what most progressives and socialist see or feel. But then he has this nerve pulling habit to then give the democrats a hero status of being able to level out the very injustices they've been complicit in creating all along. I would imagine he's referring to the 2 newly elected self claimed progressives or social democrats in congress. And the other few democrats that have seemingly joined ranks behind them. It seems to me he just blissfully over looked the fact that Pelosi and other top democrats have managed to put the brakes on at least the top 2 issues they wish to address. At the least, vastly minimize them. Health care and the New Green Deal.

Having taken more then 1.6 million in donations from those industries during her career. And as we all should know from past articles here, Pelosi has been more than verbal about stalling a New Green Deal. After all she and a large part of congress are owned by the fossil fuel industries. (Amount the fossil fuel industry spent during the 113th Congress (2013 & 2014) on contributions to Congress’ campaigns: $42,373,561) This from Oil Change International. 2017-2018--roughly 58 million. While Pelosi may not be the largest beneficiary to these donations, she isn't going to cut the legs out from her supporters in congress that keep her as the Speaker. While the republicans do get the majority of these donations, she isn't going to ruffle the feathers on the other side of the bird either. If the bird only has one good wing, she can't fly either.

(Maduro has been a disaster)

That disaster just finished building 3 million homes for those in poverty and lower class citizens a couple months ago. He has raised the minimum wage twice in recent years. Once just last month. Between him and Chavez poverty has been cut, last I read, 47%! Shortly after the last presidential election, more elections were held for area communities to elect more representatives to represent their communities. Social programs were installed to enable small farming commutes to help with hunger, along with expansion programs into art, music, and other forms of culture aspects. The fucking disaster came before Chavez that took the culture of the Venezuelans away while under another American shrill. And Maduro is still building on Chavez's goals despite all the interference and economic sabotage by the western hangmen. Chomsky in this regard can go fuck himself. He should be ashamed to make a statement like this. And for everything else he says after this! While he states all the reasoning it's happening, he can also speak the false rhetoric of fault knowing he's wrong? As he refers to Nixon and the Allende regime in Chili. The very same is going on in Venezuela. And he god dam knows it.

He then goes back into a more mindful acknowledgment of the US workings as harmful mixed with Israels flight in the region. And adding more fake fear of a small group of progressives he knows are going to get little if any change accomplished. This is a Trump like version of a narrative setting con job for neoliberials to keep power masked under a supposed progressive expert.

Anyone who was beginning to see the real light of the Venezuelan issue, after reading this will fall back to the false Chavez and Maduro rhetoric. Anyone who was beginning to learn of the past history of the early bird progressives true nature stepping up for the 2020 race will forget what they learned and find a false hope again. This is a disgusting display of perception management narrative by a brilliant mind designed to benefit only further movement to the right and neoliberial policies.
