Have you noticed a pattern to the men or women you go for?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 30, 2018:
I really don't think I have a specific pattern. Every one I've been with has been both mentally and physically stimulating. However, Mentally has more weight to it.

Spent part of my day visiting a Baha'i temple.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 30, 2018:
Good art is good art, good architecture is good architecture, good music is good music, good people are good people. regardless if religious or not. It makes no difference to me what inspires them to create it. JMHO. That looks beautiful btw.

Which do you think is more important ?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 29, 2018:
My mother and I are very tight. I was very close to her mother (grandmother). There was , and still a lot of love and understanding there. As for my father, well he was very abusive mental, and physicallyI was terrified of him, and he made sure that it stayed that way. At 16 after one of his 'moments' with me, I had enough, I walked to my room, grabbed some things and was going to leave. just before I went out the door, I looked at him and said, You no longer have a son. That was the last time I have seen or heard from him. It was very liberating, and for the most part I was able to just put it all behind me. But every now and then I did have the thought of meeting him again, I am a lot bigger than I was then. And I thought, look at me now you piece of shit, try that shit now. But, I realized that would bring me down to his level, so i just let tossed that notion away. Although, one thing good happened on reflection, I learned how to not treat people.

TristanNuvo comments on Aug 29, 2018:
there isn't much I don't like. I'm no vegan by ant stretch, and as much as I am a steak lover, I also like veggies well. Among many, I love sugar snaps, and snow peas, roasted red peppers, spinach, just to name a few.
Ever spent time around someone who was a perfectionist?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 29, 2018:
I'm usually fairly laid back, and I let a lot of shit slide. But when it comes to the music I write I am a true perfectionist. Now matter what I do to a song, I always thing it could be better, I'm never satisfied. I've changed some of my songs so many times to get it just right, that sometimes the song isn't any where like the original.
Interactive Meme.

Regarding age, how much younger or older are you willing to go in order to date someone?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 28, 2018:
I think it has a bit to do with how old you are. For example, A 5 year difference whet you are a teen is kind of a big thing. But in your 40's or 50's 10 years isn't really a big deal. That been my experience ant way But in truth, If the compatability is really there, I would have to say that age doesn't really matter.

This is for you German Girl!
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 27, 2018:
I'm like that more often than not. First off I'm not a morning person, although I do wake up fairly early. The second thing is that on of the side effects of my antipsycotic med(seroquel) makes me very sleepy for the first hour or two. So some times I have to have a few more cups than usual, so I'm not a total zombie.
Say something ?

TristanNuvo comments on Aug 27, 2018:
We have Jazz, and Blues festivals here in the Tampa-Clearwater area, especially in a town called Ybor city. They close off a block or so, and you can go get some beer or some wine, and take it out side.. And a lot of resturaunts bring food for the ocasion. Some times they will have parades with bands playing music. They have many celebrations like that many times a year. I try to go there as much as possible with some friends and listen to some great bands. Hell of a great time.
Remember when you were young and had dreams, hopes and aspirations?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 27, 2018:
I've had my ups and downs, but Fortunatlly I am very happy with my life. Even though my dreams have changed over the years, I still pursue them with the same vigor that I did when i was younger.
Does anyone else have difficulty deciding if an artist belongs in this group?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 26, 2018:
I love Smashing Pumpkins. Siamese dream is my favorite. I got to see them live at a lollapalooza tour. I don't think it matters if one calls it metal or not, I've posted some that were not metal or punk. I just figure if you like it , post it.

Does anybody else struggle to find open and honest reporting?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 26, 2018:
I was taught at an early age to question every thing, or better using the Scientific method. The big problem these days is that a lot of people because of the internet, believe in some wrong information. For example, some treat a paper or a lecture from a published Scientist with a doctorate, with the same weight as some crack pot consiracy nut.

TristanNuvo comments on Aug 25, 2018:
I have 1 sister, but I didn't know her very well. My parents split when I was younger, I went with my mom, and my sister went with my dad.And since neither me or my mom communicate with my father, I rarely ever got to grow up with her. After we both got older we reunited, and got to know each other. She has two kids, that I get along with really well.
Isn't this wild.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 25, 2018:

Are you heartache proof? Did you ever think you would be?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
The only heart brake I've ever had was when my grandmother died. We were very close, and it very hard to get over, I still really miss her. But as forrelationships, I've never had a bad breakup. In fact I'm still friends with most of them.
Tell me a heartwarming story, I could use some kindness and cheering up today.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
There some elderly people at the homeless shelter I volunteer. At dinner time we have a line, every one goes through and get some good food, and sit at the tables. But rather than have the elderly stand in line I will seat them down at the table and bring their food out to them. They don't need to give me thanks for doing that, but they do. and that makes me happy.
What music could you...?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
I'm a musician, so it's really hard to pick just five, but off the top of my head I'll name a few that are some of my favorites. Bach. Andreas Vollenweider. Metallica. Alice in Chains. Pink Floyd.
Just a few things that have been on my mind 1.
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
I'm 53, and even though we live very far away, I go up north somewhere between thanksgiving and christmas. for about a week. She I and my step dad do all kinds of things together. see a movie, take a walk through the gardens. have some great food, I used to be a chef, so I like to treat them to something really nice. then usuall we'll have a glass of wine or two, and watch some Game of Thrones or some other show we like. it's great that we still get to do that.\
A perfect moment caught
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
Here are a few pics from the homeless shelter that I volunteer at. This place houses around 250 people. their goal is to get people back on their feet. There are computer rooms where people can apply for benifits, apply for jobs etc. There are quite a few groups that bring dinner every night. and some bring clothes. They even have teachers volunteer to teach a class to get people a GED if needed. I'm happiest when I am there, I love to help people when I can.
Happy Friday! Make it fabulous!
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:

Up way too early...are there people in this group who have chronic issues with sleeping?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 24, 2018:
I used to do the same, sleeping has always been a big problem for me. I've had times where I would go and not get but an hour or two for days. But for a while now I've been on different anti-psych meds,(seroquel) That stuff puts me down hard. Sometimes a little to hard because I'll wake up very groggy, and it takes a while to function

I love a good glass or two of good wine after the day is over, sometimes i have a taste for a good imported ale. It's very relaxing. But I don't think I could be in a relationship with some one that wouldn't let me drink. or any other thing that I might enjoy. i would never do that to another person either.

Quick question. What is growing in YOUR garden this season?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 23, 2018:
I grow Peperoncini rossi. They are an Italian pepper. Great flavor, and not to hot, I use them in quite a few dishes. I also grow sweet basil. They both grow well here in Florida.
Who was the first person you told that you were an atheist?
TristanNuvo comments on Aug 23, 2018:
I was lucky enough to not have been brought up in a religious household, so I was never a believer. So I never had that 'coming out' experience. But as to the first person. hmm, i guess maybe in a conversation with some one who was religious, but I've had too many of those to remember when was the first.

When I was younger I didn't really have much self esteem,so I had a lot of things I would have liked to change. but,as I got older I've learned to like myself for the person that I have become, I really don't care about my looks any more, for better or worse.

I have always found it a bit awkward to have dinner on a first date. way too many things go through my head, are my manors ok, what should I order, and a few other things. I find it rather uncomfortable. I prefer to meet over a drink or two, It seems a lot less stressful, and it's easier to get more relaxed so we can talk more, plus it's cheaper. I don't mean getting sloppy drunk, just a glass of wine or two. If all goes well, and we would like to see each other again, i like to make us dinner. I used to be a chef, so I can make something special. Plus I live on the beach, so a nice thing that I like to do is have a walk, and watch the sunset. I live on the gulf, so we have some great sunsets.
