been hot in waco tx but today wasn't that bad...83 now. it's been over 100 past few days though

Heat energies me. I thrive in it. My home is in the high desert now. In my 20`s I had lived in Allentown P.A. was a July day It was like 95 out. I had worked at Stroh's brewery the pasteurizers were cooking at 180 degrees. I was going working like crazy sweat just pouring off of me. The guy around were all dropping like a sack of potatoes and they were just standing there watching me work.

I love southern descriptions of reality. But, i do want to know the origins of such cliches.

it seems this goat-ass-pepper thang is biblical. So, ya got a scripture reference.

How did they measure this?

Can't decide whether I dislike that type of weather more or when it's "Colder than a witch's tit" come winter...

Hot, and Humid.. I’m a once-removed Oregonian, and our humanity was called rain. I’m on the south edge of Virginia now, and their rain is called humility! I’d have liked, but never had air conditioning in OR. Here, I went one summer without it.. F.

It looks to have hit 95 today, and though I ended up with the day off.. have hidden away inside since noon. Tomorrow, out & about… I’d say we had a Spring, though. And I sure like the Winter's … between wicked wind and minus temps, it’s dry & sunny.

I'm still visiting NEPA. Got up to 90, which is real hot for these folks. It's a reasonable 77 right now, as I listen to the phillies game on the radio on the front porch.

We had about 4 hours of Spring. I awoke one day to temperatures in the high 90's. I thought l had overslept by a couple of......... MONTHS!

We hit 95 with 61% humidity today. It's rediculous

I'm made for the heat, but the humidity is really bad here.

Guess it's all where you're looking at it from. Guess you're lucky you're not a billy goat huh? And in answer to your question, yes it's hot here 97 with 105 tomorrow. It's that 70% humidity that's killing you and in case you missed April and May, it's June Isn't that what sweet tea is for, to cool off?

I can honestly say that I’ve never been near a billy goats ass close or far from a pepper patch. Yesterday day it rained like that would make Seattle jealous and it’s been a bit wet today. Wednesday it was mid 90’s and supposedly it will be hot and extremely dry soon enough so I’m glad for some cooler air.

Pretty toasty, but that's every summer here.

My new favorite expression: "hotter than a billy goats ass in a pepper patch!". We're having Mexican weather here: chili today but hot tamale.
