Hello! I'm new to this site and just trying to figure it all out! I am generally distrusting of online dating sites. I tried one last winter and it was pretty much a disaster. But I like the format of this site. I like how you can post comments and respond to others posts. Kind of like facebook! I have no expectations, just thought it might be fun and a bonus if I were to meet someone close by and like minded!
Peace.
Site is growing rapidly, but the chances of even finding a friend real close is remote, still.
not sure i would consider this to be a 'dating site' but rather like a more open 'facebook-ish' type of social gathering. seeking a mate/date may/could happen but that would be entirely up to how you work the site. good luck to you and good hunting.
(fairly new here too, so take what i say with a grain of salt)
The problem here is we all are to far apart.
though some would call that a feature, not a fault...
It's pretty safe to post on here. No one will show up on your doorstep uninvited and everyone seems pretty mellow. It seems more like a site for people who don't really want to physically meet anyone but would rather lament that they arn't meeting anyone. But what ever! Here we all are. So! What do you think about current political events? Should Trump be impeached or should we bring back the guillotine? What's your favorite food? Do you like having sex? Is there a fantasy you would like to share? Where would you like to travel? Read any good books lately? Who is your all time favorite music artist? Just to prime the pump a little.
You're right, it's like FB except with cool people and we constantly chit chat about men/women and dating ... LOL.
Hi, CLM, and welcome to the website,
This website can have a bit of learning curve, so here is some information that might help.
You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.
Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.
Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points and privileges; for instance, at level two you can private email people. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.
To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.

Levels are mostly a way to help identify and reward those who contribute to the growth of the community. The website also gives more access and benefits depending on level.[agnostic.com]
