What kind of music do you like?
I like anything but new country.
Wow! What a nice variety here.

I like most everything, have fo listen to it all.

Most genres of music, from classical to rock and everything in between. The only exceptions are rapp and heavy metal.

I like most everything. I do have a strange taste for Vietnam era protest songs. I was born in 1965 so that must prove that I am a reincarnated Vietnam casualty. Right? I mean what other logical explanation can there be?

Blues, jazz, big band!

2

Rock, oldies, disco, new wave, industrial metal.

For some reason I'm really digging a canadian band called the Dead South.

Oh yes, they're great and fun movie too 🙂

Love this song. Too bad their bass player (the guy in the video) can't be a full-time member.

@joeymf86 Everytime I listen to their Banjo Odyssey it gets stuck in my head for days.

Everything but mumble rap, new country, and whatever genre the repetitive, monotone dance music is called.

I was raised to appreciate mostly all genres, but I tend to enjoy rock and metal the most. I cannot stand most new pop or country and I stay away from gospel.

I like classical music. I love both piano and violin. And you?

Everything except new country : )

Really don't like new country why! I think it has both rock and country makes it better. Not into slow music or the blues I want up beat music!

Well, there might be some new country songs I would like. I like Sarah Evans, Travis Tritt, Alison Krauss, The Judds, Alabama, Dwight Yoakum, John Denver, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Don Williams, Shania Twain, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Dixie Chicks, Charlie Rich, Jerry Reed, Charley Pride, Flatt and Scruggs, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash. I picked the ones I like from Rolling Stone's 100 greatest. [rollingstone.com]
I've heard more than a few that just rattle off a list of stereotypical words and phrases. Like some marketing guy has asked a focus group to come up with a list of words that will hit the target demographic. Seems to me that classic artists didn't do that. Plus I don't like when artists go for too many years, shutting out new artists. This has happened many times in country music. Should be term limits.lol

I like most any type of music, but my favorites are rock and blues. My favorite blues artist is Beth Hart.

I'll to listen to her sometime : )

@Boogey me too. That’s actually how I discovered her.

I listen to everything from opera, classical to metal. But I will not listen to country, period. I love jazz, too.

I'm all over the place. The only genre that I'll listen to no matter the artist is Classic Rock. There might be 1-2 bands/artists I'll listen to from sub-genres of Metal or other musical genres. Never been a fan of rap or country.

It's funny seeing the confusion on people's faces when I tell them I like both Ozzy Osbourne and The Bee Gees

I'm a fan of both too. Good music is good music to me, no matter the genre.

Straight ahead jazz.

There is hardly any of todays "music" (I use the term loosely) that I would even listen too. It is mostly noise pollution to my ears. There are exceptions but very few. I enjoy dancing to C&W but do not listen to any of it. I listen to mostly instrumental music. Your mileage may vary.

Yup, instrumental is wonderful!

I don't dislike anything really, even genres I don't usually go for can throw up something that I like but my default is rock in all its forms; classic, thrash, nu, industrial and any other handle you give it.

1

I tend to stick with 80's big hair and grunge. Although, I am finding myself enjoying a wide range of music on vinyl. Sounds so full.

1

Polyphonic, Melodic, Harmonic, Chromatic, Dissonant, and Counterpunctual (Counterpoint).

Country, punk, rock, heavy metal, 80's

1

Classic Rock & Roll

Chinese opera, you like that?

I probably would, but I would need subtitles

@JohnINFP That whiny singing is just horrible, except if you are Chinese I guess.
