Which movie do you think best represents the experience of falling in love/being in love? For me, it's The English Patient, The "French Liutenant's Woman" and "Falling in Love." I have noticed that in all three of these movies there is a love triangle, so would love to hear of movies that showcase those love feelings without the triangle - although I can see how can be used for dramatic effect...

Moonrise Kingdom! I loved those two crazy kids. And at the other end of the age spectrum, Love love LOVE The African Queen. Bogie and Hepburn--booze, leeches, and all.

Unconventional choices--the opening segment of "Up" still tears me to pieces--I cry like a damn firehose every single time. Wall-E was actually a deeply romantic movie. And Brokeback Mountain left me absolutely gutted.

For me, it's "Titanic"...not only to the (fictional) survivor's story, but the entire
slew of stories of the real survivors..

"Night Train to Lisbon". I don't care much for romance in movies... it is made up. Loved the real life adventures of the heart. Real is where is at. The given title is one exception. "Dracula" is my type of romantic movie.

I think The Last of the Mohicans is incredibly romantic. Daniel Day Lewis was perfect. I also loved French Kiss.

The English Patient is my favorite, but the love in it is tragic, or fleeting (as in Hana's case). I was drawn to Hana because I feel like her.
