Beef kidney and beef tongue. Never again.

Yuck, lol. I have family that love eating cow tongue... I just can't even try it!

@Sirena HAH! I grew up in a family which ate tongue at least once a week! It was cheap and available. This is probably one of the primary reasons I won't eat beef now!

Jamaican curried meats. I think there were three or four kinds of meat involved, and I'm fairly sure one was goat. Apart from that, I'm cajun on my mom's side so things like alligator, frog, turtle, rabbit, pigeon, pheasant, dove, duck, squirrel, deer, garfish and crawfish register as normal foods in my mind, and I've eaten all of them at least once.

Not a big fan of goat, I'd rather have lamb. I don't really care for frog legs, and garfish meat is chopped and packed into balls with rice because on its own gar tastes kind of gross. Pigeon is delicious (not city pigeons, obviously) so are pheasant and dove. Turtle has a surprising variety of flavors, some parts taste a little fishy, some a bit like chicken, some a bit like pork.

I always wondered if garfish was edible, how is it? It's one of creepiest fresh water fish I've seen.

@Sirena if you chop the meat up real fine and make baseball-sized rice/fish balls and cook them in the oven...they're...edible. I've never been a really big fan.

@geist171 interesting, thanks for sharing!
