Oh boy. Where have all the clever, witty people gone from agnostic.com? They've left. This site was so wonderful & thought-provoking when it first started, but now it has descended into dross like FB. Convince me to stay.

Some have flaked off like bark on a cinnamon tree to groups. What was the best entrée you had on your Earth trek?

I've just returned from Italy so I'll go with coppa e prociutto crudo as my entree.

Haven't been on much myself, I htink the great increase in numbers means unless you spend lots more time, you probably miss the best posts. At least taht is what I hope, I have joined a few groups, and just read their posts, sadly the general discussion list would take mroe time than I have, yet this want the case 6 months ago.

I think you're right. It may have run its course. Shame. It was so good before.

Hi Golden Doll .. you sound interesting - at least you rationalise about RIP and speak a few languages which puts you up as reasonably intelligent. PLEASE pick an area you are interested and talk with me

I joined a few days ago, I can be witty but it depends who's around. Are there many British people here ?

SYVY Level 2 Aug 17, 2018

Fewer & fewer. Not much for us here it seems.

@GoldenDoll I am a Brit. The Americans use sarcasm for humour more than we do and a lot of them are fixated on Trump, but in the main I find it enjoyable banter.

@GoldenDoll Americans seem to have an ambivalent attitude toward Brits. Your criticism triggered it. They never seem to really know whether they feel superior or inferior to the English. I thought your criticism was constructive as a valid opinion, but judging from the ad hominem replies you received, they must have viewed your comment as an insult to their nation.

@brentan I didn't read her comment as a criticism of Americans whatsoever. I think there are people with truncated minds all over the planet. I also think there are brilliant people all over the planet. this is not a nationality issue.

@Marionville, @brentan And "ain't nobody got time for dat" as I believe Americans say.
