I love both. I always have a dog and at least one or two cats. I prefer to have two, and at least one, a black cat. I love big dogs, but have had as little as a fifty pound dog. My current dog is a perfect 120 pound Cane Corso. I also have horses. I can't imagine life without any of them. But I love all critters. I love all the farm animals too. Pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guineas and the donkey. All wonderful.

Dog person, but tolerant of cats.

Dog person. No question.

I'm a dog person. As for cat people: in the words of Jim Jeffries, I stand by your right to have an opinion, but please know that you're wrong.

I like both, but I’m allergic to cats so dogs it is.

If I HAD to pick one I would go cat. Granted I love all animals and I'd be just as infatuated with a pet goldfish as I would a fully trained doberman.

Cats do have a level of self reliance that is very admirable compared to other pets though. There is nothing more satisfying than earning a cat's trust. Also there is nothing more heart melting than waking up to a purring kitten on your chest after a couch nap.

Cats and kittens are completely it is a complete mystery to me why I love them so. smile001.gif

I can't tell which door someone is knocking at , so I look at the cats . I go to the door they're looking towards . In fact I usually know which door , before they knock . They patrol the yards at night . Used to have a problem with critters drowning in the swimming pool . Cats keep them out of the yard . They also tend to dispose of snakes for me . If it's a cold night , you can bet they'll be two piled on top of me . Never feel alone , because one of mine is always up against me .

YES. I live with cats because they fit my life at the moment. I have no time for a dog right now. When push comes to shove I will always have a cat.

I'm a lycanthropic person.

Stop making me look up big words.

@Redcupcoffee Stop making me wonder if you're a real person.

@maturin1919 Would a real person tell you to shove it?

@Redcupcoffee It's been known to happen.

I'm a wildlife person..especially birds. Also, I love horses.

Cats are an invasive species that are making native species go extinct all over the planet, and spread disease to both humans and wildlife.

I have had both, but not at the same time. I suspect my dog than cat. Currently, without any.

Both, Gizmo a past friend was a very large cat also my protector chased after three dogs he thought may do me harm with no claws they freaked out. I now have a dog named Fenwick he's black and white also like Gizmo and he has an excellent personality also.

I love all animals, but my lifestyle is more conducive for cats, so I have 2.

AzVixen52 Level 7 Aug 20, 2018

Have one of each, love them both but the cat is much easier to care for.

Both like me... specially the females. I still prefer Women. My Choice.

I love both, but only have reptiles currently (rental restrictions and such). If I had to pick one, probably cats, but it would be a very difficult choice.

kltuckmn Level 7 Aug 20, 2018

Dog person for sure, but I don't mind cats

Blakeroni Level 2 Aug 20, 2018

I definitely prefer Cats more because they are easier to maintain. I don't dislike dogs. I will pet my best friend's dog when I visit.
