Welcome. Speak freely.

It is very liberating...people may argue, but you will not be judged here! Your thoughts will be heard and they matter, in the big picture! Enjoy!

I can imagine that many people find it weird when they first come to this group and instead of getting the usual barrage of denials, confrontations and finger pointing when they mention their belief or lack of belief they tend to get a much more understanding feedback. Many of the agnostic and atheists in this group have been through similar trials and tribulations so we know where you are coming from, some of us were lucky enough to be born into families that were already atheistic or agnostic. If you still believe in an angry old man in the sky then people will generally be understanding but if you try and preach it to people then you will probably meet with some resistance because a lot of us had to fight our way free of that dogma. Welcome to the group, lots to see and learn, plenty of interesting people to make friends with and possibly more.

Come on in! The water's fine!

Jump right in! It gets easier with time, especially since none of us will reject or judge you. WELCOME!

It can get much more interesting when you begin thinking and talking about why you believe what you believe, or don't believe. It says 'Believer' on your bio page. Would you care to elaborate on that; and why you're on this website? Not mandatory, but some of us are curious.

You don't have to justify your beliefs to anyone. In my first post, I addressed this issue. Forty-eight people commented.

"How can you be a moral person and be an atheist?

Welcome.

You don't have to talk about [dis]beliefs if you don't feel the need to, but for obvious reasons many unbelievers here feel the need. Personally I would urge anyone to have a considered position / set of views rather than to just sort of be driven along by life, so discussing them with people it's safe to discuss it with might be something you'd want to consider.

I'm new also, haven't really had any talks about being agnostic, I'm not here primarily for that purpose. But I'm open to it if it comes up

Welcome! Hope you find interest or whatever you are seeking!

I'm looking to meet someone ? this is also a dating site, yes?
