People will jump in their car and drive every day, knowing that without a single doubt in their mind that the more they drive, the higher the chances are that there will be an accident, that it is inevitable . . . . Insurance companies bank on it . . . . But when it comes the nuclear weapons? They think they are safe, they think that it could never happen, that it is inconceivable that man could wipe himself off the planet. In fact, it is not at all inconceivable, it is inevitable . . . . There have already been numerous close calls, yet silly humans think they can keep playing their war games without getting burned. (Perhaps I should say, turned into charred carbon.)

As long as people walking this earth retain that attitude, and retain these weapons, it is statistically, simply going to happen.
