Another Libertarian here. I suspect as things begin to crumble Trump/McConnell will be unable to control the Senate GOP.

McConnell doesn't believe in democracy. He believes in his wallet, and he'll do what ever, when ever for whom ever puts the most money in it.

People need to be aware about something concerning McConnell. He does not believe in democracy. If you have a legitimate issue sitting on your desk, you do not keep it off the floor because the vote will not go the way that you want it to. You respect the vote of each Senator and you bring it to the floor to pass or die there. That is how this system works. Trump, in my view, is a great danger, but he doesn't have to be. Our democracy will never fall at the hands of one man, but it could fall at the hands of several.

I think the Republicans in general are operating (or not operating at all!) under the false assumption that Trump's base is their base too. Undoubtedly some of them are but I cannot imagine they all are.

If you thought there was a blue wave in 2018... Wait for the Tsunami in 2020!

I think trump has very embarrassing information on these sycophants, especially the ones so opposed to him before the election.
Either that, or they have been contacted by some of the Russian mafia with whom trump has enmeshed himself.
