I want to avoid any illness that is possible and vaccinations have great results and low risk if any.

Is this a DUMB question?
IF you truly love your children and care about their health and that of those they come into contact with THEN vaccination is a most DEFINITE YES.

Basic necessary vaccines, yes, of course, I'm for vaccinations. Other vaccines are on a case by case basis.

I do not understand antivaxxers.

I think anti-vaxxers most often find it more than difficult to even understand themselves as well.

My daughter contacted measles as a baby before she was old enough for the vaccination. It was horrific. I'm pretty sure her epilepsy was caused by the swelling that occurred after the rash went away. About a week after the rash went away her tongue was so swollen she could not nurse. I imagine her brain was swollen as well. I had a step daughter that almost died because for a short period of time the vaccinations lost their effectiveness and she contacted measles as a teenager. I had an older cousinwho got measles when she was pregnant, she was Catholic and did not abort but she ended up catatonic in an institution until after the baby was born. Fortunately the baby was not born deformed but the mother never fully recovered from the trauma. I would say I'm very pro-vaccination.

Once again, why give these idiots any note of relevance. Without vaccines, the average age of life would plummet and there would be hundreds of millions sick and dying.

Absolutely pro. As much as I am pro "stop letting the government mandate personal liberties, " I feel that the consequences of not vaccinating are far greater than the consequences of vaccinating and there should be stricter laws governing vaccination.

Maybe if we spent our $ on science instead of a wall, we could further advance the education and development of vaccines.

Seeing the near tragedy in my own family, I am all for vaccinating against everything we can...I don't want to get or give anybody a disease that science has found a way to prevent, lessen the symptoms, and make people stronger and healthier.

Those who do not vaccinate are welcome to read about the increase of throat cancers in males who have performed oral sex on women who were not vaccinated against the HPV virus...have a fun sexy weekend...

I challenge the people that are against vaccinating to live in a leper colony, and go stay in the hospital room of people with mumps or measles for an extended period of time without getting vaccinated first.

Truth

Is there a vaccination against leprosy?

@Lorajay I meant to say polio.

1

Is anyone still denying this

1

Vaccination of course!

3

I’m for it because history has proven that disease can wipe out thousands before it can treated.

Anti-vaxxers are ignorant and dangerous.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

As an RN who’s volunteered my time at many vaccination clinics over the years. I’m strongly pro vaccination. It’s one of the simplest/cheapest things we can do as a community to protect ourselves and others that can’t receive vaccinations for certain reasons. All vaccinations should be taken with advice of a health care provider.

The only thing I can think of that is scarier than allowing a complete stranger to stick a hollow needle in my arm and inject unknown materials in my bloodstream... is the idea of living in a society in which we are not able to trust the basic goodness of human nature.

The goodness of human nature ain't gonna protect you when half the kids in your neighborhood have measles

@starwatcher-al
I’m saying it’s only my trust in the basic goodness of human nature that enables me to let a stranger inject unknown substances in my arm. I understand how it’s scary for some people, but it seems scarier to me to live my life in a constant state of paranoia. It’s a trust that has been broken at times (Tuskegee Experiment) and could be again, but my bet is on trusting the norm instead of fearing the exception. It’s a chance we must take. I am 100% pro vaccination.

@Diagoras
Yes.

@skado OK gotcha, read that the wrong way.

I would hope that there are no antivaxxers in an enlightened group like we have here.
