Anyone can make anything a religion simply by taking it too far. That doesn't mean everyone else who shares some of those beliefs is religious.

The best part of getting together at agnostic/atheist groups events is the understanding that we don't have the invisible elephant to contend with. We don't say prayers. We don't pat each other on our backs about how great our atheism is.

We rarely talk about our non-belief. When we do it is in reaction to some fucking idiot attempting to enforce their mental shit upon us. Sorta like the posts here that ask for advice as to how to handle such a moron in the family, the work place, on the street, at government meetings,...

That we get together for fellowship, to be among our own kind, satisfies a basic human need for belonging, and acceptance, that is not religious.
