Image recognition. To spot scammers, what tool(s) are people using to compare profile photos on this site to images across the web?

I use a few... tineye, yandex and google and occasionally social catfish.

Quite often their bios and first posts give them away.

Vandex and tineye do not charge. Tineye is specific and only shows pics that match exactly. Vandex will show many similar ones and the match.
It details where the pic was posted so you can establish the context.

Wow! It has never occured to me to do that, nor do I know how to. Maybe if i wanted to go into business with somebody, but here?

You can use Google for that. Sometimes they even have the real name of the person in the picture. I have noticed that several pics look real but cartoonish. One person in here has a pic that looks funny. Someone asked her f she was a sock puppet.

Just their bio and a quick convo or 2 is usually enough. Think the watchers group has a post pinned for image recognition, though.
