Truth is Variable
Most “truth” in our lives is variable. Only small bits of “knowledge” are factual. There is no, permanent, absolute truth; every great or personal truth either needs a temporary modifier to make it solid, or it may easily become false with the simplest of temporary modifiers we might add.
Many things given and taken as truth are really only an opinion… and the accuracy of those depends upon the individual perspective from which they are considered.
Most things we can think about fall easily within the following matrix, but we can't know for sure without doing a lot of work, and by the time we can get confirmation, the situation might have changed:
Society suggests it is true, self believes it is true, and in reality it is true.
Society suggests it is true, self believes it is true, and in reality it is false.
Society suggests it is true, self believes it is false, and in reality it is true.
Society suggests it is true, self believes it is false, and in reality it is false.
Society suggests it is false, self believes it is true, and in reality it is true.
Society suggests it is false, self believes it is true, and in reality it is false
Society suggests it is false, self believes it is false, and in reality it is true.
Society suggests it is false, self believes it is false, and in reality it is false.
Then, of course, there are the unknowable, unpredictable, random outcome items who’s only truth can be that they may be true or false until actually viewed or measured. And even though statistics can predict the general or average odds in probability of occurrence, individual specific instances are still not certain, and even the limit of low odds distribution of high multiple repeats cannot, truly, be predicted.
So, what do we actually know?
The only truth is, there is no absolute truth. Great post!
Yes, but I still decide to buy the store brand vs.the "trademark brand" at the supermarket, or not, and so do you......
