What activity has most consistently given you a feeling of inner peace?
Every morning I go to work I travel over the new Young's Bay Bridge. This allows me to traverse two miles over Young's Bay, two miles of water and most days more bird species than one would think possible. Once the other side of the bay is reached some days one will have the privilege of finding Roosevelt Elk waiting in a nearby field. Last time I counted at least sixty in the herd. On a good day, I see the same returning home.
Inner peace? What the hell is that? Still looking for it.
Playing in the dirt - I mean gardening.
And I never never play with the garden hose, I'm cleaning the driveway.
I LOVE women who play in the dirt!
Sitting on the dock of the bay.
Watching the ships roll in
@ownworstenemy And I fell in and nearly drowned again.
@ownworstenemy So now I'm sitting in the bay by the dock.
Watchin' the tide roll away.
Use to be working a job...will find a replacement soon
I'm always more relaxed after taking a walk around a local trail under the canopy of scented trees around the lagoon. In fact I think I'll do that right now.
Otherwise, bicycling along the path by the coast is relaxing, or swimming in the evenings, under the stars.
Hanging with my prodigiously wonderful wife of 27 years. She is a peaceful person to be around. Yet we also have moments of delirious laughter together.
Empty beach.
No sand, no water?
@PondartIncbendog no people )
Well, my therapist said I should take a whole stack of paper, then write the names of the people who piss me off the most on different sheets and then burn them. I've found this to be a highly cathartic process.
But now what am I supposed to do with all these sheets of paper?
Erase the names. That's evidence.
Any body of water ♥️
Mine is any body in water.
