I don't love the framing in the poll. That kind of directed polarization is part of the problem in the current political environment. It's no longer about the nuance of issues and positions, but picking a side. In this case, I disagree with the action because violent destruction is an inappropriate escalation in response to someone else's exercise of freedom of speech. Perhaps the balloon is annoying (I think it's pretty funny, but I also understand that it's intended to be provocative), but this was the wrong way to respond. I can't know the mind of the perpetrator, so I'm not going to default to calling them a dumbass, but I do think the action reflects poorly on their character.

Vandalism is pretty stupid and accomplishes nothing constructive, really. Be a real hero and VOTE.

I loved my trip to India where I went elephant hunting in my pajamas. How the elephant got in my pajamas I'll never know. Unfortunately we couldn't get the tusks off the elephants. So next time we'll hunt elephants in Alabama where the Tuscaloosa.
