Change of pace request! What is your most favorite childhood memory??? Or one of your favorties??
One of my favorites - I was in middle school and used to hang out with my dad and uncle at the beach helping them build a house. I can smell the salt air, feel the heat of the sun and the cold fizz of a Fresca going down...

Can't say I have a favorite, but the one that popped into my head was when I was building GI-Joe lean-tos and huts out of very tall ragweeds in the clayey garden.

I remember living in some apartments in Odessa Tx back in like 72 or 73. I had one of those Evel Knievel stunt bikes that you rev up and let go. We'd climb on top of the roof and launch the bike off the roof via a ramp ... and had made parachutes for Knievel's action figure to glide down safely. It was a great time to be a kid.

Sad, I can't think of one. I didn't have a bad childhood, I just never fit. Always the odd duck. Shy, kind of a loner. Picked on and bullied quite often I had fun too. I liked sports and games and riding bikes and hide and go seek and sleding and skating but nothing sticks out as a favorite memory.

I don't just have one but loved my childhood.

Being in my grandmother's kitchen. Sometimes cooking, sometimes playing gin.
The best was when she was teaching me how to play poker.
When I was older, we'd drink beer together.
I still miss her, every single day.

Visiting relatives in Miami Beach. They lived on one of the Sunny Isles, and had a water view in front and back. They have long since passed, and their old house just got torn down to make a McMansion.

Before adolescence I have some good memories of me and my now deceased father. I used to spend Saturday mornings with my Dad in his car, playing with his shortwave radio, going to the bakery for fresh bagels, and going to breakfast. It was me and my dad. Before the anger, abuse and violence.

Riding my Haitian mustang stallion, Lightning-usually without a bridle or saddle. I liked jumping gates on Lightning, sneaking out and riding at night in my pajamas, roping half-grown wild boars in the mission corn, etc.

Being in the woods behind my childhood home.

There were protected wetlands behind us and it was a wonderful place to roam.
