It totally beats me and sickens me to the core how someone can loudly proclaim their supposedly SUPERIOR Morality and YET still attend and financial, etc, support an Organisation/Church, etc, that has knowingly harboured and hidden such foul, disgusting, low-life Pond-Scum as these revoltingly, blatant Predatory Paedophile Priests, etc.
F.F.S. Earthworms have far more Ethics and Morals than these Smug, Self-Righteous Bastards could ever amass in a billion life-times.

Quite apart from scientific revelations hugely upstaging religious revelations, we also see how simple modern morality is vastly superior to the primitive morality of religionists. These contrasts are growing greater every day until only those with cognitive disabilities or gross psychological trauma remain.

I agree ; they be a group that is fading/ truth wind in the end.

Absolutely agree

When people refer to a book that goes into detail about the proper method for beating one's slaves as their guide for morality, they have already lost their argument.

I was stuck in a trench digging away with a born again christian who brought up my beleifs as a starting point of interest. I duly unloaded my concerns that rampant child abuse was in fact a reason i held the church in contempt. He told me about the differences between his faith and the other long established faiths...but as i told him, in my opinion it is up to religious followers to clean up religion and clear its name...whether they use the same buildingsbor not...proffessing to be a man of god requires action against those degrading his fantasy....self action by so called christians has not been visible....maybe they are active but not in any recognizable form. And as i told him...i cannot take religion seriously whilst it shields criminals and pays victims for their silence.

Great comment!

I don't care how they view me, because that's THEIR problem. If they impede me or hurt me because of those biases, then the gloves are off. I am not tied to any church ior eeligious dogma, and pity the people ...no, "sheeple" who are.

How true ; they only KNOW HOW TO MANIPULATE OTHERS
if they did care they would get "dirty" for justice's sake.
It has no hope of refinement. They cover/ hide and distract from the fallout of thier activities.

Ya it’s totally skewed here in the US. I have great moral character, I just don’t believe in magical beings and ghosts

I can fully agree.

As a UK citizen, I don’t believe I’m viewed in that way by anyone, this must be an American thing I presume.

You are right. It is an American thing, unfortunately.

Thankfully, most Brits I've gotten to know never wore their religious preferences on their sleeves. Here in the US, an 'in-your-face' religiosity virus seems to have possessed the minds of tens of millions.

@p-nullifidian Is it the case everywhere?... are the large cities like New York and Los Angeles not free from this obsessively religious atmosphere and a need to talk about a belief in god.

It sure doesn't happen around here (Merseyside, UK). My friends (all believers as far as I know) know I am not a believer and we just get on with enjoying each others' company.

@Sandster I live in N.I. Even here nobody bats an eye at me saying I’m atheist.

@Marionville I'm in a conservitive area- steeped in religion;
and alot of civic/ social networking has a " religious lean"
to it. - like the tail that wags the dog. Some get thier life instructions from the pulpit - less thought ( and moral backbone ) that way. They do want prayer in government
and School. The books that get taught, - Sunday places stay closed( your supposed to be in church) kinda attitude.
Thanks for your insight !!

Life seems easier to live for people in
DENIAL. This keeps thier biases safe. The answers they have for problems in life help no one; - I trusted "supposed" civic
leaders that not only didn't have constructive solutions. The systems they supported were worst then the problems.Hope can be found in sources NOT benefiting (monetarily) and are objective. These 2 facets cause alot of charities to become corrupt.
Thanks

Life is much easier if one does not question anything and believes everything they are told. I think a 2 x 4 is smarter than that, just my opinion. Thoughts.

@dalefvictor yeah ,I agree almost an "active radar for
rejecting new data" which leaves them out of touch with reality.

My sentiments exactly.

As do I.

And they use the words.. " justice and fair"🥵

I get that feeling.
