I am sitting here this evening, after finishing a project that took me most of the day. I am tired, but there is nothing wrong to complain about! And out of nowhere I get this overwhelming feeling of sadness...I am crying for all the lost loved ones...I am crying for all the lost sanity in my Country...I am crying because the tide seems to be carrying us all out into nowhere...a place where truth no longer matters...insults are slung from the presidential podium, at the innocent, by the leader himself! The disrespect (and lack of civility) at the top in this Country makes me heartsick! The tears want change a single thing, when they dry...I will still be back at the place that I started from...I am an action person, but I can’t think of a single action except the ones I take for family and friends...that will help to make this place we call home...more accommodating. It is the suffering stupid...😭😭😭😭😭

I know at times we can feel this way...I empathise. “We can’t let the buggers get us down”...that phrase alway springs to my mind when I get into that frame of mind, it was one of my late husband’s favourite sayings! “This too will pass” is my own favourite, and it’s very pertinent at the moment. I trust that having a weep and a wee rant here will have made you feel like you’ve got something off your chest, like a release valve. We don’t mind you letting off steam here, we may just do the same some time too. We cannot control the actions of others, least of all the antics of our public servants, (except to try to vote them out of office at the next opportunity). This sometimes makes us feel impotent and powerless, however we can hold ourselves to our own standards and maintain a degree of perspective by telling ourselves that we will rise above the insanity and survive it. Keep on, keeping on...in the end we will win!

It does help when there is someplace that people will respond with understanding and common sense. And they have some understanding of our particular nature, that is a big help!

To my mind at least. You are one of the members on this site who makes a very worthwhile contribution, keep in mind always that you do make a positive difference in the world, even if you can't see it in person. And that the difference we make is the only really important thing in life.

Thanks 😘

Life is overwhelming now. I live alone I keep my distance in public places when I have to go out. And I see fools out with their small children who are licking damned doors! This makes me sad 😟

...sad and scary! So many people must have trouble believing what they can’t see...it is at a distance! I am keeping my distance as well, and my neighbor tells me that our super Walmart here is only allowing 5 people in at once! Last week many people went in but I kept my distance and got out of there quickly! So I will see...stay strong, 😂

I feel tired a lot because the effort to not do the same is Immense. Hugs!

Thanks!

You are an inspiration to many, embrace your helplessness, it's a way to garner the strength to fight forward and reclaim your, and our, home of accommodation.

😘... thank you for those supportive words. The feeling is mutual!

One thing I do is to see how so many are having a really difficult time. It makes me feel grateful for what I have. I have also found it best to pick my battles and not focus on what insane things our corrupter -in-chief is doing. Perhaps reading a calming book especially at night might help. Please don't let the sadness rule!!!

I want! It was just one of those moments in a peaceful productive day, when the heavens parted and a vision of all this Country is loosing, came screaming in. I too, am safe and grateful...but the suffering is suffocating and there is no where to hide!

@Freedompath I know it can be hard. It is at times for me. Avoiding things we cannot control and focusing on things we can often helps.

@JackPedigo Since I am hold up here alone with not a trouble to my name, I guessed that I could put my attention on changing the world! 😜. This was yesterday’s sunset, mixed in with the suffering! Thanks for the comforting.

@Freedompath Very nice. It seems there is a small mountain in the distance. Sometimes it's the little things that can make a real difference. My thoughts are with you.

@JackPedigo I have mtns in every direction from this property! That is West ofcourse with only a few mtns in that direction! 😘
