Always thumping our chest to show other species how intelligent and strong we are to other species but here we are so challenged by COVID-19.
Lock down and Curfews have rocked countries and world economy is looking at us from the side views.

As members, what activities are you engaged in to keep active and in shape during this hard times?
Personally I have started small urban farming in my back yard.
Waking up every morning and evening to weed, add manure and clean the compound is one talent I have discovered and will continue dong even after.
Your experience will help another person cope up in this time.

I'm trying to catch up on yard work. I have an acre which was not taking care of last Spring so there's lots of catch up to do. Day I continued my shrub pruning effort. I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow. I also take scraps to my neighbor's chickens and try to walk at least a mile and a 1/2.
This evening I started wondering if I'd ever really even want to go anywhere again. Then I wondered whether there would be any where to go.

" Always thumping our chest to show other spices how intelligent and strong we are to other spices but here we are so challenged by COVID-19" Is the word you want, "species"? If so, what other species are you referring to? I don't know of any "other species" what would know or understand we were trying to appear intelligent and strong.

Well, I love black pepper and also oregano, occasionally some cinnamon, a little nutmeg and definitely cardamom in Turkish and even Moroccan coffee; but I must confess I never thump my chest about any of them.

My animals help keep me on schedule, as they still need their "stuff". I rise early - even though sleep is not so easy ..., work-out (bicycle, walk, hike etc) after yoga daily, house or yard always need something, read, make or listen to music, draw, keep in touch with other humans by computer mostly - sometimes phone, deal with very changeable moods ... happy/sad/ content/ antsy/ introspective/ concerned/complete bonkers.

To keep in shape I've been working out along with YouTube videos in the morning, and when it's really nice outside I ride my bike and I've been watching movies as well since it's been chillier over where I live.

So far I have picked up 4 x 1 ton loads of organic compost from the recycling station and hand spread it over my garden, also started my seeds for this season and built some cold frames for when I want to harden off the seedlings. Shoveling 4 tons of compost by hand will certainly keep you fit and sore and help you sleep like a log.

This must have used auto-fill to predict which words, because "spices" instead of "species", I am guessing, was not not deliberate.

How else are we supposed to spice up our life? Gotta promote that girl power somehow or another.

I am a loner, an introvert, have lived mostly in a "shelter-in-place" lifestyle since retiring 25 years ago. I live in a rural area, sparsely populated and my life has barely been affected by what is happening today, though I do wear a cloth face mask when I go shopping or am around people. Life is still good for me.
I wish everyone success, good fortune, good health, much love and happiness in your quest for life and the fulfillment of your hopes and dreams.
Take care and enjoy life every day.
Love and Peace

I cope by doing my normal things that I love and they would bore others to tears. I do admit to more depression and anxiety because of our current situation but it has done little to change my lifestyle.

Sorry about the depression. Are you able to get your meds okay?
