One doesn't have to read a book cover to cover to know it's complete bullshit.

Yes. I have. 12 years of Catholic school. Also, as an adult. Another good read is The Book of God - The Bible as a Novel. It makes it read like a nice long story or an epic movie. The Character are more detailed and the cultures and practices of that time are explained. Making it historically more interesting . I enjoyed it.

I read it on a dare once. I found it arrogant and boring. I also read the Bhagavad Gita, and the quoran. I found the story about Krishna the most interesting. But still very fictional. They are just books.

And I also spend a fair amount of time in hotel/ motel rooms drinking and reading from the book in the room. Entertaining but not enlightening.

I have read the entire Bible twice, and studied it regularly until I left my parents house.
