Whats your dream date ?
Right now I will take a date. Lol
Awww
A night of dancing and laughing. To forget the outside world.
Outside picnic, river running nearby, sun shining and peace and quiet getting to know each other.
Some combination of Sofia Vergara, Rachael Maddow and Miss September from 1974. It would include the Biltmore in LA, biking in Santa Monica and several hours of stunt sex in the Hilton at Dana Point. You asked.
I don't know about oppressive. I'm 61 so the likelihood of me having this date is rather remote. I was tempted to relate some "soul mate" or "love at first sight" fantasy to pander to the female constituents of this group but I couldn't do it. Knowing Maddow is gay is both disheartening and uplifting, sad because I can never attain her love, uplifting because of my awe of her as a human being.
My dream date is an afternoon of conversation over coffee, perhaps a walk along the river then dinner at a nice sushi place. Suddenly, I look up and see an owl staring at me from a tree outside. My feet are glued to the floor and I realize that I’m only wearing underwear and I’m late for class!
This is the best one!!! Hahaha I Love It!!! I'm cracking up laughing and I Love to laugh! Haven't laughed this hard from something I've read in awhile!
You are hilarious!!! still laughing
@Sadoi Glad to please!
@indirect76 oh it was excellent!! Truly!! Haha
If you are really connecting with the person, I think what you're doing is completely secondary. If you are connecting, clicking, whatever you want to call it, those moments are your dream date.
the company you keep but not where you keep it
I tend to like simple things, like small concerts, watching a move or the other person's house or even a small picnic under the stars, as long as there is thought behind it and it's not just cliche
It's not a date.
Something that doesn't have that awkward sense of obligatory... stuff.
"Schmarna?"
"Scubadebup!"
"Myr myr nirm..."
"...Yeah, yeah totally..."
You know what I mean? It's seamless and the conversation just flows as fuck, dude - is what I'm trying to say. It doesn't feel like a date, or a raisin.
It's fun, and y'all having too much fun to be involved in trying to define it or put it into a category, but you know you like each other so there's not any mixed or misleading things. And then you kiss or blow each other or whatever. Whatever's cool, whatever's balanced. Some of these recent patch updates, ya know?
Fuck if I know, man...
Skiing during the day, then going out for dinner, then walking around the town, then drinks in the hot tub. I live in Ohio (originally from Colorado) so this never happens but one can dream.
I went from Mecca's of California to Michigan Lakeshore so I understand dramatic change as well! Haha Roll with it brotha!
@Redcupcoffee I've lived here for twelve years now and I don't mind it but I do miss the mountains. I was a ski instructor when I lived in Colorado, so it would be nice to go back at some point. I know there are "ski areas" in Ohio but I'm afraid I would be sorely disappointed haha.
@Ohioexpastor unlike you, I am a girl of the ocean and the warmth, not so much of the mountains and the snow.
What area of CA? I am from San Luis Obispo area, Morro Bay, but my family spans up into Oregon. My mother is from Monterey. I was also raised in Hawai'i off and on throughout my life into my teens.
I attended UCLA the last, near decade I was in Calif so during those years I resided in Westwood Village, West LA, Santa Monica and Malibu area.
@Ohioexpastor Ah yes. I know Fullerton. Ah so you are familiar with my neck o' the woods, eh?
Not having been on a date since 1981, any date would be a dream date.
Maybe you should shave your beard ?
@VAL3941 No, I wouldn't. If they can't take me as I am, then I don't want to mess with them. I mean, I'll clean up and get a trim, but that's about it. Besides, I was married until 2 years ago. I can wait. And if nothing happens, I'll deal with that, too.
Sorry, thought you were a profesional singleton. Lol.
Museum date with coffee after
With a relic ???
I will reserve it for my dreams... reality is a different place to be.
Is it a first date? Or with someone I've spent time with before?
For a first date, I'd love to start by chatting over coffee/tea in a quiet cafe by the water. Maybe take the conversation out on a pier so we could see the beauty of nature. If things go well, go to dinner together.
Now, after a first date, I'd like to have the lady over to my home, and cook for her. Pour up a few glasses of wine, and put on some nice jazz. If we feel inclined, a little dancing would be nice - nothing extravagent - just spending time together, being ourselves.
Just dinner and a movie is nice and all, but your focus is either on the food, or the film. If it's a date, I prefer my focus to be on the woman. You don't get to know people without coversation.
