I disagree. Trump exposed the problem and provided a fertile environment for it to grow, and grow it did to about 75M strong. This is the new R party, Trump contaminated it for a long time to come. It will probably outlive its founder and other Rs will run on a platform of "Trumpublicanism", carrying on Trump's ideas and policies so as to inherit his massive support base.

The Republican party has become a disease.

And a lack of identity. If all they do is try to be like the 45 asshole, they’re just being wannabes who cannot run on their own. Trying to imitate someone else just makes you fake.

I hope it's true. However Trumpism is based on ignoring facts and believing whatever they are told to believe... kind of like religion. I am doubtful that kind of mindset will be going away altogether.

Maybe tRump will goto jail for his crimes he committed.

That’s IMO most of the reason he’s freaking out so much now. He knows he loses all that protection he has after Jan. 20 2021 and he can’t pardon himself or his family for state crimes, only the Governor of that state can. He can only pardon Federal crimes.

I hope he gets his ass handed to him. And the rest of that piece of shit family.

That all makes sense, except that according to this article, Trump plans to build his own media network to compete with Fox News, and I fear that he still has enough loyal aficionados to make it a reality.

I can't see Trump building a a news network to compete with Fox News. He would be arguing with the advertisers all the time.

I hope he does start his own TV channel. It will be as successful as Trump Airlines, Trump Steaks, Trump Beer, Trump Vodka, Trump Casinos, and Trump University. How many times can you say "I wos robbed" and keep viewers tuned in?

@anglophone He only needs to tell his sheep that he built it, and they’ll believe him, even though they know it’s not true.

But.......a lot of his followers are Christian sheep who already believe in angels, devils, talking snakes and donkeys so it’s no surprise they would believe he would build a wall and force Mexico to pay.

Wish it were so. Too many followers, too many opportunities for grift. He's raised $300 million in month. He needs it considering who he owes money to.

He’s only collecting money from them for his defense lawyers and the fines he’ll have to pay when prosecuted.

@RobinGray Right on target. All this is mostly a publicity campaign to keep those contributions from the cult coming in. Trump has LOTS of bills to pay--and if his past performance is any indication, he won't pay most of them.
