Rural, lakeside living for me.

I like living more rural, but closeish to a bigger city. The best of both worlds!

I am, by upbringing and nature, more of a small town or small city person. But. here in Tampa. I live in a secluded (but, not gated) neighborhood full of trees and greenery.It is easy to foregt that there is an eight-lane street with heavy traffic less than 10 blocks away.

The only large city I have ever loved was Berlin, Germany. The city was full of parks and forest where one could get away from people, sidewalk pubs and cafes, and cultural events, along with a public transportation system so good that one did not need a car.

I'm definitely not a city person. Life on a commune in the wilderness would suit me!

Id say the middle. I like the convenience of city Life, but i was raised in the South and love small town life.

Used to love living in bigger cities. Not so much anymore.
The older I get, the less I want to be around too many people.
I appreciate the quiet of living on the outskirts of smallish cities.

Country with some access to town

City, definitely, but not a big one. Just large enough for things to do and so it'll take an ambulance less than fifteen minutes to reach me.

At heart I have always been a nature and animal lover and therefore prefer a country environment, especially forests. There is also an appeal in City life for culture and the oppurtunity to meet many people from different backgrounds. If we can bring nature into the city, that would be great for city dwellers.

I've never liked big crowds of people. I have lived in NY my whole life though. There is just so much to do and so many places to go. I can do without the people though. I also like country life to a point. When you grow up in a city like NY, you mostly know how to deal with all the bad. Whether you want to deal with it is a different story. When I visit my brother in NC, I just notice there is less stress.

I’m in the middle, from NYC but now in S Florida. It’s urban where I am. I can still go to the beach or kayaking. I miss NY but after a 3 day visit I always wonder if I can deal with manic pace any longer?, having been gone so long,

A city person. I have been in cities my whole life.

I like the burbs, I'd like to be a tad more rural. I like to be near the city for all the activities, and my city is not anything exciting. My objection to being more rural is not wanting to drive more.

Depends what city.

Though I live in the suburbs, I'm a die-hard New Yorker. I love the culture and the diversity. That being said, I'll stay far away from the crowded and overly commercial tourist areas and instead go to neighborhoods and take part in activities that are quieter and quirkier.

Nothing wrong with witnessing for oneself how people struggle. Makes us more grateful for whatever we have.

A country person. I was asked as a teenage what was my idea of my dream place to live. I replied a house on a few acres. I live north of a metropolitan area on approximately 2-3/4 acres. Over the past several decades, especially since Hurricane Katrina, this area has gotten more stores, services, etc. (One negative note is the fact 2,000 doctors of varying disciplines left the Greater New Orleans area after Katrina.)

I enjoy some of the culture available, pretty much, only in the city; but I was raised in a semi-rural setting that served to give me a true appreciation of nature, and the desire to be immersed in it as often as possible.

I want to be around a great variety of people so that usually means a larger city or maybe a college town.

I like to live in a quiet neighborhood....but I like to be close to a Supermarket.

I always considered myself a 'city person,' having lived most of my life in metropolitan cities (Jacksonville FL, Atlanta GA, Memphis TN, Richmond Va, Baltimore MD.) However, after living the past 8 years in a rather rural area of PA, I absolutely do not miss the 'big city.' I like the slower paced life of living in a small town. People tend to be a bit more friendly, which I like. Even though it is a small town (population of about 4000,) we still have people who are living on the streets, which is rather distressing since there is only one homeless shelter in the area and they are a pretty small facility with limited bedspace. And of course, we have some "sketchy" people too, but they are for the most part harmless.

Somewhere in the middle, I guess...
I like city mentality a bit more. Not so many rednecks.
I always thought that Seattle was a nice clean city ? That's kind of disappointing, although I'll never go there..

Not a city person at all. Currently live in a suburb. Would move to a more rural area.
