Some site updates

  1. Doing some tests on mobile main page to simplify it and make it easier to click on things. Some members said the links were too small to click so they're buttons. Also, we've never been happy with the small post form on the main mobile page so we're testing just going to a dedicated page to make the post (more room, less confusing). Happy to get your feedback.

  2. Added a setting to let you require members to have a photo before they contact you. See [agnostic.com]

  3. Group owners can now set limits on the number of posts per day per member. See the group settings page.

  4. Added the ability to find posts that have more than 1 tag (e.g., "agnostic, atheist" + check "Has all search keywords?" means that both tags need to be the title or body of the post.

  5. Updated the messenger input window to grow as you type so you can see what you're typing.

  6. Made alerts a little bit smarter to reduce the number of similar alerts for the same thing (e.g., if someone tags you in a comment to your own post).

A dozen or so other bug fixes.

Known bug: some text is getting removed from posts in groups (e.g., 'https'😉 after it has been submitted. I've made a little patch that fixes it before members see it but I still haven't found the root reason).

BONUS: For the people who read this post, you can check out a free book that was donated to our members about "Why There is No God" here: [agnostic.com]
We are waiting until we find a few more titles before we create a "resource center".

Thanks!

Comments have a date and time stamp, but as far as I can tell posts don't. Was that an intentional decision or just an oversight?

I read that this was intentional because they are "timeless". I would prefer they have a date.

@MsAl I can see both sides of that, but I'd also prefer that they have a date. As it is, I have to look at the comments to figure out whether I'm looking at a new post or if it's something old that I'm just now seeing.
