A lot of people are saying that after losing the election, Donald Trump was unhinged or crazy. They do not understand. Trump was being Trump: A severely psychologically damaged person permanently frozen at the moral and personality development of a two to three year-old.

The leading experts on such development have long been considered to be Erikson (personality development) and Kohlberg (moral development). Erikson points out that in personality development, the early stage is marked by marked by almost total egocentrism. At that sage the child thinks he is the center of the universe, that the world revolved around him. He is incapable of empathy or real consideration of others.

In terms of moral development, the early stage of moral development almost entirely what the child wants. In his mind, if he wants it, it is moral, as is any means of attaining what he wants. If anything or anybody stands in the way, it is immoral. Anyone who aids him in getting what he wants is his friend; anyone who stands in the way of what he wants is his enemy. But, the friendship lasts only as long as the person enables him.

Combining the two perspectives, it means that any person at that stage of development is highly impulsive, prone to fits of anger or temper tantrums if he is not th center of focus, if he does not get what he wants. He will strike out in anger toward anyone who stands in his way.

Those descriptors almost perfectly match Trump. He is a dangerous person permanently frozen at the lowest stages of such development. This makes him incapable of the moral behavior and judgment of a normal adult, and certainly NOT Being of the behavior we expect from a national leader.

Yes, though it hardly needs advanced psychology to understand Trump. The caddies on the golf courses who nicknamed him, "Pele" ( famous footballer ) because he kicks the ball where he wants it, so often, had him perfectly.

There is inadequate profanity in the English language to convey my loathing and utter contempt of Trump.

He is the on;ly man I have ever hated in my 84 years.

@wordywalt If he is the only one, then you are either saintly or you need to get out more. LOL

And yet 63 million people voted for Trump believing he was fit and qualified to be presidential. How can that many people be oblivious to obvious mental illness and psychopathy?? Yes, yes, a lot voted in protest, misogyny or hatred of all things democrat. Still, just sickening.

It’s worse than that. Trump received 74,222,958 votes, more than any candidate in history, except Joe Biden.

It was the psychology damaged individuals in the Republican Party that coalesced around Donald Trump that brought him to power, that coupled with the poor educational levels and poor thinking abilities of much of the population.

@p-nullifidian I meant in the 2016 election.

@racocn8 Got it. Whether in victory or defeat the numbers are sickening indeed!
