@Castlepaloma The age profile of the continent’s population is much younger in Africa than it is in Europe, only 2% in Africa is over 70 and the median age is only 18, whereas for instance in Italy and US it’s 38 and 45. We know that most of the deaths everywhere have occurred in the over 70s. Also the temperature is much warmer and more of life is conducted out of doors in Africa, the opposite of countries in the Northern hemisphere where the colder climate means more of the population are confined together indoors for longer periods. The African countries were quick to put lockdowns in place, whereas some western countries were too slow in the beginning. Frankly there are multiple factors, but it is universally accepted by the overwhelming body of scientific and medical bodies that vaccination, and getting the largest possible number of the world’s population vaccinated is the best way, along with other measures such as masking, sterilising and social distancing, to get this pandemic under control in the shortest space of time, and with the least number of deaths or serious illness and hospitalisation. Sadly, people like you are a serious barrier to that progress.

4. Many tell me Africa has a low death rate is because of it being a hot country. Brazil and India outdoory are really hot places also and 2nd and 3rd in the world list for covid cases and have greater in Population than Africa. Any other outrageous idea why Africa is most successful?
