I think six figures could work for me. Enough to buy a house & car, travel and indulge in some hobbies and a little philanthropy. Better make that 7 figures.

A tid bit more than just enough

None, l don't have a job. Don't want one either.

$983.7 Billion.

Plus dividends.

@Shelton barely. But I’ll get by.

I live in MN so the cost of living it's too high here. I would be happy with $80,000/year.

This is how it works for ME.... I learned a long time ago that if I make one buck then I wasn't happy because I wanted to make two. Then I was making two and still unhappy because I wanted three..... See the dilemma here? Eventually understood, changed my ways and I have been happy (financially) since then....

Enough to keep food in my belly, a roof over my head, cloths on my back...and some left over to help those who don't have these basic needs...

Mr Micawber's famous, and oft-quoted, recipe for happiness:

"Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen [pounds] nineteen [shillings] and six [pence], result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery."

Enough to get by.

I have been happy with little and seen miserable rich people. I would rather be content than happy, happiness is unsustainable.

1

I'm happy enough and I don't work, so I guess $0 in this case.

So much disposable income, so little happiness it brings.

Right here, right now, 25k. But then I live in the poorest part of MO.

1

That would depend on the job, honestly. If I make $1,000,00 a year plus bonuses and am miserable at what I do, the money means nothing. I would rather be poor and happy. Granted, I don't WANT to be poor, but I would prefer it over being miserable.

Here's the thing: Money doesn't buy happiness, but it's a pretty damn big down payment.

For me, if I could make enough money to own a modest condominium in a decent neighborhood and travel abroad at least three times a year, I'd be more than satisfied.

All of it.

$75,000 would be AWESOME...more even AWESOMER!!!! I would love to be able to give more to my rescue friends...and it would be so fun to hand out huge tips to people, no? OK maybe I need more than $75K....

Enough to live comfortably, pay off my debts, and put a little away.

I'm happy with what I make now.

it's not the salary but what I do that matters more.

as long as I'm ok and the jobs more like a brilliant hobby, I don't mind much.
