It's completely irrelevant to me what's in the Bible and what Jesus said or did not say in the Bible. I have not been to church since I was 17 years old, so I'm a bit rusty on the Bible. However it's important to draw a distinction between public charity and private charity.

I believe the Bible describes private charity, where one gives their own money, food, medicine, aid, or shelter to the needy.

Most Republicans believe in private charity.

Where Democrats get confused is "public charity" where:

1. Money is taken away from the middle class and wealthy at gunpoint under the threat of imprisonment.
2. Money is then given to "the needy" in exchange for their votes or political support.

That type of "charity" is more like a mafia protection racket than it is what is advocated in the Bible.

Virtually all illegal border crossings are made by people seeking better economic opportunity, and that is NOT asylum. One can understand why such people seek better economic opportunity, however that does not make them legal.

A few of the "attributes" listed for the Republican Party of J.C. match up very closely with the Australian Liberal/National Party as well.
For anyone wondering I was using SARCASM when I used the word "attributes" in relation to the Republican ( Rethuglian) Party btw.

Have to say, if I get hit, I am definitely going to hit back harder.
