Owning SCOTUS, the Christian Nationalists will overreach with their typical clumsy bullying attitude. The kids and young adults will reject this in a final spasm of disaffection. SCOTUS's corruption will eventually be seen as one more coup attempt and all their bad judgments will be overturned, albeit 20 years hence.

Yes, I think you are right. We will eventually turn this around, but it will take time.

20 years from now will be too late. We will already have a fascist dictatorship and elections will be only a memory. And by then I will also likely be dead, which may be a blessing, if it goes down as I currently see it.

I gave up on that one, I've been known to disconnect on sanctimonious pricks at work. It's fun. But they have to really push it before I d/c, I've done it twice and I'm still employed. My hope for the not too distant future is that we have a very high solid wall between church and state with no cracks in that wall.

If we don't shore up that wall it will be the end of this democracy.

Well, I agree with the "church" part of it- but there is more to it than that! In Canada, one political party has a Sikh as leader---- and he wears his 'hat' in parliament. Just goes ta show ya- force the bull shit, an' it will happen. Could anyone else get away with that crap? Saw 'something' on the street, 'it' was covered head to toe in black, and the temp that day was 'boiling'.

@Diogenes I don't care if they wear a turban, a fez, a straw hat, or a yarmukle, as long as they do their job well and honestly.

@Flyingsaucesir Did I not make my point? He has no respect for the traditions of the Canada parliament. He is quite willing to spit on them.

I am not making up a little fable for this post. There was a Sikh restaurant that I used to go into. The food was excellent! The place was very clean. The atmosphere was okay. He wore his turban. His head; his turban; his restaurant; he can wear anything he liked! No one forced me to go in.

When I see somebody with hair dyed green-- their head, their hair- and none of my business!
