This would be comical if not for the fact that it represents the true feelings of a significant percentage of the American electorate today.

At this point the FBI had better be building an iron clad case that Frump was clearly operating in criminal territory, or we’ll have a civil war on our hands.

I don't think an ironclad case will make any difference. The Trumpers don't want to hear about evidence, the law or truth. They will start civil war no matter what happens once they think he is being shafted. And he will never be convicted anyway, no matter what the evidence, as he will demand a jury trial and all they need is to get one MAGA person on the jury, and they will hang it, resulting in a mistrial and enough delay that by the time he might get convicted, by some miracle, there will be a new Repub president in 2024 to pardon him, assuming we are talking a federal case. He already got a break in NY, a blue state where it looked like they had plenty of evidence for a criminal case for financial crimes, but the state AG decided not to prosecute, or maybe it was a federal case in that state. Anyway, he is in the clear for that. And in any red state that somehow goes after him on state charges, all he has to do there is get a pardon from that state's governor after being convicted. Bottom line, he will never see prison, because in two years, the Repubs will run it all in DC.

A lot of the MAGAs are pretty thick, but it's not like they are going to be wearing their red hats at jury selection, and they will all be coached beforehand on how to lie during the jury selection, Trump's cronies will make sure of that. They are good at covering up things, including jury tampering...

I love how upset the Trumpers are over this raid. 🤣

trump is guilty as hell. The National Archive has apparently been "negotiating" with him since he left office for the return of documents he had no business removing from the White House. There is no way trump had any intention of cooperating if he hasn't over the last 18 months. trump also has a history of looking for unfair advantages. Without knowing what he had, it's difficult to say how sensitive they were. We do know that he took documents that were classified.

trump has proved himself to be someone we should first suspect he is being dishonest - that he is dissembling. Only after we have independent corroboration should we consider believing whatever he says.

In my opinion the sole purpose here is to put a damper on Trump's supposed political power and influence. Different articles are listed and cited and if Trump is in violation he cannot hold or run for political office. If this goes the full route this could mean he can never hold office again. Espionage is a serious crime and can even be committed unawares.

Latest article I read was that there was an inside leak/disclosure, possibly even the vanished spouse - which I would LOVE!!

The spouse is vanished?

@MsKathleen There is not a trace of her in Mar-a-Lago, her quarters and office cleaned out.

@tinkercreek Wow, how do you know this? I read somewhere that the FBI went through her stuff this week.

That's the basis for my entire take on this search. If we see it then Garland must have so this was the last step in bringing charges. I expect them by week's end.

🤞🏻

I literally can't imagine what sort of evidence would sway the MAGA crowd, GOPers living in the real world ditched Trump long ago.

Not publicly. That’s why the MAGAtes are still a problem.

True.
