Recently a giant in the field of sustainable (real not imagined) economics died recently, Herman Daly
Daly was one of the greatest public critics of Julian Simon, the notorious cornucopian who believed resources were infinite and humans were “the ultimate resource.” To me this economic myopia is the cause of all our present day ills.

I think it's human ego.

In the article was a part of where Simon, a Catholic, developed his cornucopian theory with help from the Vatican.

@JackPedigo But to think that humans are “the ultimate resource” is pure ego.

@rainmanjr I would say extreme arrogance. But what else could one expect from the Catholic Church?
