We're only spending about 5% of our military budget on Ukraine. It is a pittance compared to what it would cost us if Ukraine, with all its agricultural and mineral wealth, not to mention human capital, falls into the hands of Putin's criminal gang.

And then there's the geopolitical dimension. If we let a bully disrespect sovereign borders and just grab land whenever he wants, it destabilizes economies everywhere.

To abandon Ukraine now would not only be cowardly and short-sighted, it would also be the very definition of penny wise and pound foolish.
