Everybody, non believers, believers, can have a medical problem. From the Pope to Stephen Hawking, we are born, we live, some have medical issues, others get through life in relative good health. What you believe has no bearing on how your life proceeds health wise. Praying won't do a damn thing for your health, otherwise there would be no need for hospitals, modern medicine and medication. Take care of yourself, let your doctor help you through your issue, and maintain a positive attitude. Those will help you get back on your feet, not getting on your knees.

Well, forget that shit and if possible keep a distance from such negativity. Praying may be a good placebo but only if you believe in it. Also the statement implies that all religious people, because they don't 'sin' and they pray regularly must be super fit and have no health issues, no allergies, never get headaches or toothaches, the list goes on...I doubt you will find one of these Super-People in any religious house in the world. I hope you don't believe that and I feel sorry for anyone with health issues who believes that. Can you imagine being sick and believing that? I am recovering from minor surgery and have heard all the "holier than me" "supportive" notifications that others have been praying for me. So sick of it. My mother drove me around, wrapped my arm so I could take showers, cooked for me, played Scrabble with me to keep me sane... and she prayed for me, which she is somehow convinced is the important part.
