Absolutely.
Got it at a young age.
No one has to understand anything about me, you or them.
Edit to add : no one is under any compulsion to try getting another to understand either.

I think that is a natural progression... Your priorities change, as does your attitude/opinion of things that you felt very differently about when you were a kid...Once you are retired, it is time to slow down & enjoy your accomplishments... Doesn't matter flip to me what people think, I am running my own show & don't need any advice or suggestions on how to be more "normal".... Normal is only an average of all kinds of behaviors, anyway, & is grossly over rated as far as I am concerned...lol...
