I'll be on here rarely for the next couple of weeks. (Let the rejoicing begin.) I'm taking a vacation and doing a 3000 mile road trip. I'll be back though... Just giving fair warning.

Enjoy the drive (ride?) and come back in one piece.

Don't exceed the speed limit, now.
My road trip isn't due for another 6 weeks, 3 days and 12 hours. (approximately)

Did you let the other guy know about this? The one who shares the one liners. Thats a lot of pressure to put on one guy to keep us amused.

Where are you going?

Arizona. Going to visit my parents and siblings. I love road trips. Sometimes I need the solitude to get rid of these voices..

@Duke Awesome!! I love road trips. I need one!

@Duke I still have fond memories of Grasshopper Junction in Arizona. Have a super time.

sounds like an adventure. hopefully you will bring Tales home.

Tales of tail, perhaps?

@Petter don't jinx it man.

@hankster
Ah! But such a tale could @Duke relate
A tale of tail, and not stale-mate.
A piece so fine I tell thee,
Yea! A mounting to the finest "lay"
Of loving labour, toiling "hard"
That ever "came" upon that bard,
Recounting with "upstanding pride",
That wondrous night .... etc.

The above is adapted from a long, bawdy ballad I once wrote upon a portable typewriter by the light of a burning oil refinery, after rebels had blown up the power station and were now attacking the oil refinery. I was also consuming the contents of a small barrel of French wine, to prevent it falling into the hands of the enemy.

@Petter an evening to remember I would say.

@hankster It was. One of many memorable occasions in what one might term "a full life".

@Petter I have little doubt that you have always been and still are an adventurous fellow. Tales add up don't they.
