How do people read the news without flipping out? It makes me so angry to see this orange idiot of a president being allowed to do practically anything he wants while we're all powerless to stop it. He's been acting like a dictator since he's been in office by attacking the free press, and now he's attacking women's reproductive rights. He's a sick man who even defended an accused pedophile. I have had far too many days ruined because of a disturbing news story. I even took up smoking for over a year because of it. I'm done ranting about it on Facebook and have deleted my account, but it's still troubling me to no end. Does anyone have any advice?

Trouble is stupid people are allowed to vote. The uninformed are easily manipulated I don't watch much TV. Read an engrossing novel. News mainly ascribes to negative stories as it receives higher viewing figures. We feel psychologically powerless when bombarded with media we. can't do anything about. Either limit your contact with news or even ignore it for a while.

You are not helpless. You are frustrated.
Register. Vote. Write your Senator & House Representative, even your state elected officials. Join an organization such as the ACLU. Work on voter resistration. Go to rallies.
Did I mention Vote?! November 6th is when we can hobble him by flipping both houses of Congress.
Don't watch so much that you go crazy. We need you. Our country needs you. Patience. We will gget there.

I'd be hopeful about the midterms if I didn't believe Russiagate. What's to stop them from doing it again?

@TheDarkNolanite Nothing can stop them. But we can put up defences instead of welcoming them into the Oval Office as HE did. When I was going crazy over the Watergate break in, cover up & hearings, my dad said "Patience". People would ask me, "What's Watergate?", & to this day do not know what occurred. So try & look at the long term. The arc of history is long, but it bends towards justice. The torch of freedom is being passed to you & your generation. You must carry on & build on the foundations of liberty that generations before us put in place. Democracy is ponderous for good or no. Get out the vote to stop this traitorous fool.

@Countrywoman he's the biggest traitor of them all. I can't believe how many people I've known my whole life simply refuse to see it. But then again, religious people aren't exactly one for evidence.

Since seeing or hearing about tRump upsets me, I refuse to watch the news very much unless it's something about the royal wedding or some other cheerful news.

I do watch the Singapore news channel since they tell good news..green inventions, new innovations, etc.

Plus, of course, cannabis oil..

It's been rough. I keep hoping that somebody will find a way to stop him. But it doesn't look like anybody wants to.

We need to vote Pubs out in November. I get so angry want to throw something at tv set. Other than a plane crash with his entire Cabinet on board - I've been hoping for a year- we're stuck until he is removed from office by Congress.
