I'm under the impression that everyone has more men than women viewing their profile. I think this is mainly due to how heavily male populated this site is.

For what it's worth, many of us do not view this as a dating site; I have set myself as "interested in meeting women" just because the option is there, and who knows, but I originally discovered this site because I was looking for an atheist online community to share my own beliefs, and naturally, we're all curious to find out a little bit more about the people we share these ideas with.

Not all of us are here for dating. Maybe you posted something that offended someone and they looked at your profile to read your bio. Maybe you posted something profound and they looked at your profile to see your background and see who you are. Maybe some of them are sizing up the competition. Maybe some guys thought you were cute. It could be anything really.

I think like others have mentioned, more guys than girls here, many not in for dating, and maybe a comment made them try to get some perspective on it. I often go to a profile based on a comment.

I will visit a profile of those who post and comment on my post. It helps me understand where you may be coming from. It’s just that simple.

If people like your comments, they will check out the profile as well. That's what I do, and I'm happily married and not looking. Hope that helps.

It could be that you posted or commented and it interested them so they wanted to know who you are. I look at women's profiles after I've seen them pop up a few times as I am curious such as..... Do any of them live near me, do we have similar interests, do I think they are people I would enjoy talking with more. Also I interact with men who are only here for community as my goal is to understand people not just find a date and hopefully none of them are offended or are thinking I'm oogling them with feminine wiles. There are a wealth of really cool people on this site both men and women.

Maybe they are checking out the competition. ?

Why does it even matter? Who cares who views your profile?

I check out profiles of people with interesting comments, cute cats or if I'm on my phone totally by accident.

Edited to add low percentages because it's interesting to share conversation with someone who is almost your complete opposite.

Most likely to see what you have posted about (if you did any public posts that is) and any comments you made on other member's posts. By doing so, common interests could be discovered.

Sainfeld) and my take on your question, I guess everyone wants to know where the user is at, to take into consideration cultural deltas, time zone, is the person far away or holly crap it's just around the corner...etc etc (I am sure there are many more reasons why) ..... I never gave it too much thought though.....damn, now I am going to have to start doing that !!! (See, sense of humor is kind of important to me to enjoy my stay in this place, regardless who is looking at my profile)

All publicity is good publicity. Remember that.

There are over 35K members, who have posted move than 5K times this week. People tend to look at profiles and follow people who post things they like, regardless of sex. Although, one may have different reasons for looking at a potential partner, the process does not discriminate. Men, being a bit more assertive, may check out more people than women. And, women may look at more womens profiles than men, because they are shy. Obviously, I don't know the answer. However, if one really wants to know, the data could be gleaned by examining profiles.

Because this is more of a community site than a dating site tho it is advertised as such. Don't freak unless they send you somthing from the Kinky Lifestyle Group. =0}

Someone checking out your profile doesn't necessarily mean they have the hots for you. It may be that there are more men on the site than women? Not sure.

Maybe when they look at your avatar photo they mistake you for a woman. Change your photo...see if this helps.
