He called me back in the late 80's to be his drummer. I have no idea how he knew about me, and I failed to ask him who recommended me. I was very surprised and flattered, but I was and am tied to my brothers music, so I had to turn him down. That is the only conversation we ever had. I had forgotten about it until I read of his passing. A real Texas legend. He will be missed around these parts.
