I used to go back and forth about unions as so many were corrupt and went too far at times convincing the workers they were always getting screwed when they were really making a lot of money for their lack of any real skills in the case of assembly line workers, but they also helped lift many, many families out of near poverty or real poverty.

I have known many talented musicians who could not handle the uncertainty of life on the road playing music or the uncertainty of making a living that comes with that lifestyle.
