It was mostly happy even though our parents divorced when I was seven and we basically had two different families. Two not so good stepmothers, one great stepfather, but it was a good childhood. It is considered by many the best decade for music and movies, but the cars, the clothes, and most of the furniture were terrible. That is when I turned to jeans and cowboy boots for daily wear.

Bass and drums were mixed way down in most recordings. They were mixed for AM radio was part of the reason. Also you really didn't have enough tracks to record everything separately. See if you can locate a "remastered" recording. I am pretty sure most of there stuff has been remastered.

My experience having lived with an Hispanic woman in my twenties, having close Hispanic friends, and living among a lot of Hispanics both in Texas and New Mexico, their culture is way more family oriented than white folks, sometimes too much so for me. Almost every relative is immediate family. :)

I have been a professional musician for over 45 years. I have never heard one player or one singer say Yoko was the tiniest bit influential in the world of music. I have never heard anyone mention her name. She can't sing and she can't write. If she had not married Lennon, no one would have known who she was. Crap is a polite way to say it, but yes it is crap. Also people don't understand the unemployment numbers are never even close to right. Once ones unemployment benefits run out there is no way to track you. If you only have a part time job, you are employed. If you get fired and they refuse to pay you unemployment you are not counted among the unemployed. Americans are naive and not very bright.
