The worst time of the year for us godless creatures! Who else wants to hide from the well wishers and bible thumpers who are straining at the bit waiting to thump you with their bible to show how great their god is!

Lets be clear here... what are we talking about, eh? Parties, Good food, family, songs, story telling, dancing, and presents for everyone. Every religion, every non-religion... we all look forward to good parties, hugs, and food. You want a flying reindeer? Great. You want a Yule Log? Great. You want a New Year? Wonderful
Lets never turn down a reason to be together in good spirits and warm thoughts.

I read some of the comments before submitting my own comment. I was surprised to read so much annoyance with christmas, have had so many happy times during the “christmas season”, also haven’t associated religion with christmas in 20/30 years. Christmas is just another word in my vocabulary... I say merry christmas frequently (December only) just another word. My Swedish wife celebrated “god yule” (good yule) not a religious holiday in Sweden, celebrated most of December.
Bells, songs, gifts, all part of of the “holiday”, always fun, very easy to seperate the holiday from religion.
“Rampant consumerism”, yep, we’re at our worst, but it’s what we do... and not just at christmas. Xmas, christmas... whatever, again, just another word, do as you wish.

I feel sorry for the Walgreens checkout people. They have to work at a cash register by the door so they are hit with one cold draft after another, but then they have to listen to the Salvation Army bell-ringers all-day every day from Thanksgiving until Christmas.

Not really for me... I cook my kids favorite meal and we spend the time together...not celebrating anything but our life...single mom of 2 amazing humans

I honestly don’t care about the godless condition-it’s the rampant consumerism, waste, entitlement, debt and landfill stream that I think about. Why. can’t our economy be about taking care of the earth and providing the basics for Every. One.

I haven't had any issues with the bible thumpers. I work with several faith based organizations and they haven't been pushy. I don't say Merry Christmas, and when I hear it I reply with Happy Holidays to you. When/if I am out and about and am given holiday wishes I just reply "thank you." I don't pick fights, but I don't get out of the way very fast, but I haven't had any issues.

I never hide I like to kind my godless face right there in the faces of the deluded, I like the spirit of the season and so enjoy reminding people that Jesus is the father of socialism.

I wish a rapture would happen. Get rid of them!
